The valley is blessed with many monasteries & hamlets with great amounts of Tibetan inhabitants and used to be a restricted area up until 2008. The area is heavily influenced by Buddhist religion. Traditionally, Tsum used to be a separate area different from Nepal or Tibet. If compared to other tourist areas, the valley of Tsum region is less exposed to the outside world, so plenty of off-the-beaten paths. The Tsum Valley and Manaslu region is beautified by great mountains, passes, deep gorges, hamlets, age-old monasteries, Chortens and Mani Walls. The trekking goes way past majestic peaks like Ganesh Himal, Sringi Himal, Boudha Himal ranges.
