PACKAGE DETAILS

DAY 1 - ARRIVE TO TRIBHUWAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (TIA) KATHMANDU (1300m)

Our representative will be at airport with your name card. Once you grab him you will be heartily welcomed by him putting garland on your neck which means welcome to Nepal. Then you will be driven to the hotel by car. Rest and enjoy the day around the Thamel.

DAY 2 - TREK PREPARATION AND KATHMANDU SHOPPING DAY

We need your original passport with Nepal’s Visa to prepare restricted area permit. After preparing your permit, you will introduce with your guide. Your guide will brief details of this trek.

DAY 3 - FLY TO LUKLA (40 min) AND TREK TO PHAKDING (2610m), 3-4 hours

In the morning you have a scenic flight to Lukla (2800m.) from Kathmandu. It takes 30-40 minutes to reach Lukla. Then you start your trek and head to Phakding. You descend steeply to the Tharo Koshi which is also known as Kusum Kangru Khola (river). After crossing the Tharo Koshi River through the suspension bridge, you climb to Ghat and continue climb to Phakding. In Phakding you can climb to the Gompa to see your first view of the high peaks.

DAY 4 - TREK PHAKDING TO NAMCHE BAZAAR (3440m), 5-6 hours

The trail meanders through pine forest, along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing suspension bridges via the Sherpa villages of Benkar, Chumoa, Monjo and Jorsale: entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park and permit checkpoint; with tranquil views of glistening Thamserku (6,618m/21,714m). The trail continues along the riverbed to the confluence of the Bhote and Dudh Koshi Rivers. It then climbs steadily, crossing the high Tenzing- Hilary suspension bridge: with inspiring glimpses of Everest and the Nuptse – Lhotse ridge. A final three hour ascent through pine forest leads to the prosperous trading and administrative town of Namche Bazaar.

DAY 5- ACCLIMATIZATION DAY (EVEREST VIEW HOTEL HIKING AND RETURN BACK TO NAMCHE BAZAAR)

This is first scheduled ‘acclimatization’ day for this trek. Health experts always recommend us to stay active and moving during the rest day too instead of being idle. We either spend the day taking a day hike to Thame or visiting Khunde or carry out relaxed exploration of Namche Bazaar itself. Namche Bazzar is the main centre of the Everest (Khumbu) region and has government offices, ATMs, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, a bakery and a colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday. If we trek a few hundred vertical feet during the day, it will help us to properly acclimatize.

DAY 6 - NAMCHE BAZAAR TREK TO DOLE (4,200 m.)

After acclimatizing, today we will be trekking to Dole with many ups and down and a rocky trail. After trekking for about 2 hours, we will reach the top of Mong La Pass. From here, we can see an amazing view of Mt. Ama Dablam and Mt. Khumbilla. Our trail takes us downhill through forests and then at Phortse Tenga, a riverside village. Continuing our trek, we will be passing through many pine forests where we will see the beautiful flower rhododendron bloom.

DAY 7 - DOLE TREK TO MACHHERMO (4,470 m.)

It takes about five hours. From Dole you climb steadily along the side of the valley, where the small and thorny bushes give way to scrub juniper as the altitude increases. The trail passes many summer settlements, which are used when yaks are taken to these pastures to graze in the summer months. Ahead of you are excellent views of Cho Oyu, while back down the valley are the peaks of Kantega and Thamserku. This is a short day and you will arrive at Machhermo in time for lunch.

DAY 8 - MACHHERMO TREK TO GOKYO (4,790 m.)

Today we walk through ravine of Gokyo Valley between chola pass and Renjala pass, we follow the trail river of Gokyo Lake and on the left of biggest Ngazumpa glacier. Viewing mountains as well as taking awesome photograph of valley and mountains. After walking 3-4hours we will reach gokyo village for our home for two days and have a lunch then enjoying and taking photograph around lake, amazing spectacular sight at this junction and over night at lodge.

DAY 9 - HIKING TO GOKYORI (5360 m.) AND TREK DOWN TO MACHHERMO (4,470 m.)

It takes about four and half hours. Early in this morning we hike up to Gokyo Ri for the breathtaking view of splash a sunrise top of the mountain including Mt. Everest view and many more Himalayan scenery. This will be unforgettable life time memories and enjoy around the top. We have a great memories and stroll back an hours to Gokyo for breakfast. We trek down to Machhermo for the overnight stop. Stay overnight at tea house. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

DAY 10 - MACHHERMO TREK TO NAMCHE BAZAAR

After breakfast we trek down to Namche crossing Dole today. As we start from along the side of valley, and arrives Dole first. fallowing the Forest we climb up to Mong danda and gently down to sansa and normal flat fallowing tunings to Namche.

DAY 11 - NAMCHE BAZAAR TREK TO LUKLA 6-7 hrs

We start this 6 hours during trek with a strenuous descent from Namche Bazaar to the Dud Kosi (hard work for the knees), after the path climbs up to Monjo and then runs easily to Benkar, Phakding and Lukla.

DAY 12 - FLY BACK TO KATHMANDU (1337m) 30min.

We usually travel by twin otter aircraft from Lukla to Kathmandu, the flight lasts approx one hour and takes us before many of the well known peaks of the Himalaya including Cho Oyu, Numbur, Gauri Shankar and Langtang. We are met on arrival and transferred to our hotel, rest of time at leisure or take local sightseeing.

DAY 13 - FINAL DEPARTURE TO YOUR ONWARD DESTINATION

Finally, our Everest Gokyo Lake Trek in Nepal concludes today and after you get ready for your flight we will drop to International Airport.
